Global CPG Company

User Research + Design Strategy + Industrial Design + Brand Identity

Mosquito-borne diseases are one of the greatest threats to the world’s poorest 4 billion people. Malaria and Dengue Fever affect over half a billion people each year. Since 2013, Ghost Lab has been working with a large CPG company to explore products tailored to protecting at-risk populations from the mosquito bites that cause these diseases.

Global Public Health // Vector Control

With occasional collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, we’ve collaborated on several human-centered design initiatives to deliver affordable, accessible and useful mosquito protection to the poorest people in Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South America.

A primary focus is on mothers, children, and workers living in places where financial and health resources are scarce, and the burden of disease is high. Ghost Lab supports these efforts by leading research, prototype design, and user feedback engagements in the places that embody these conditions. So far, we have supported field work in Ghana, Thailand and Myanmar, and Peru.
